THE LEARNING HUB
Simply put, we are building The Learning Hub to be a reference point for all Dynamics 365 F&O Functional Consultants out there. We want to offer something of value to everyone, whether they are wannabes from other industries or already recognised F&O experts. Our goal is to lower the barrier of entries to the F&O space and help Functional Consultants in their professional development journey.
The Learning Hub is right for you if you are looking to become a D365 F&O Functional Consultant. If you already are one, it is right for you if you want to boost your professional growth by leveraging the expertise of senior consultants. Check out the other sections to learn more about each subscription tier.
The Learning Hub might not be suitable for you if you do not want to be a successful D365 F&O Functional Consultant (e.g. you are an end user and just want training on how sales orders work in the system). We designed The Learning Hub to avoid spoon-feeding our members, so we will not hold your hand. Being a great consultant also means identifying the right tool, figuring out how it works, and use it to solve a problem at hand. This is your first lesson, for free.
The Learning Hub is definitely not suitable for you if you represent an organisation looking for advice on a D365 F&O implementation. In this case we can assist as IT Fandango, but not via The Learning Hub. Reach out to our founder Marco on LinkedIn to discuss your needs as an organisation.
IT Fandango is a Microsoft partner and a company that specialises in assisting organisations with their D365 F&O implementations. We bridge the gap between the client and the implementation partner by providing the clients with independent advice and expertise that they do not have in house. If you represent an organisation and want to enquire about our consultancy services, reach out to our founder Marco on LinkedIn.
No. It is a subscription service without fixed commitment. This means that it will renew automatically every month after you purchase it, but you can cancel it at any time. It’s the same as Netflix, but our TV shows are terrible.
You will get immediate access to the subscribers area, where you can find all our resources. They include the instructions to log in to our D365 F&O sandbox environment, all our past newsletters, and more, depending on the subscription tier you chose.
You can reach out to us via email to request it. You will find more details about this in the subscribers area. You can cancel your subscription at any time for every reason, but we do not provide partial refunds. This means that, once you cancel, your subscription will expire at the end of the period you already paid for (again, think Netflix). You can still use the service until the end of your subscription period.
We are aware of the problem. Implementing purchasing power parity (PPP) is in our roadmap for Q1 2024. Unfortunately we are a small team and we need to prioritise what to focus on. If you want PPP sooner, reach out to us so we know it is a desired feature.
Yes. Too many to list them all, actually. An incomplete list: a library of articles, how-to guides, a blog, more freebies, webinars from guest experts, collaboration with other recognised industry experts. We are a small team and our resources are limited. We will listen to our community to decide what to implemented next.
TIER ONE
BASIC
The Basic tier is right for you if:
– You want to improve your knowledge of the D365 F&O software,
– You want a safe environment to learn about new features without risks, or
– You are studying for a certification and want to maximise your learning with the system.
The Basic tier might not be suitable for you if you already have access to an environment (e.g. via your employer), or you are not ready to use D365 F&O without guidance and supervision.
Yes! You will not lose your progress after you log out. We update the environment to the latest version as soon as it’s available, which causes a few hours of downtime but has no effect on your data. Some day the sandbox will become so worn out that we will have to delete and re-create it, but we’re very far from it now. In any case, you can use standard F&O data management functionality to export your data at any time, should you wish to do so.
No. We are a small team and we focus on D365 F&O, so at present we cannot support anything else. You may be able to use complementary features of F&O (including third-party add-ins) if they can be made available when the sandbox environment is running. But we do not provide any technical support for them, so they might not work and you will be on your own.
Almost. You will have a quasi-admin access to the environment. We restricted the access to a very limited number of features (e.g. maintain users) to safeguard the stability of the sandbox environment and ensure a smooth experience for all subscribers. If there is a feature you would like to use which is not available, reach out to us and we will look into it.
You can reach out to us via email in case of technical issues with the D365 F&O environment. You will find all instructions in the subscribers area. We do not provide tech support beyond the D365 F&O sandbox environment and we will not guide you to use the standard features of the system (see next FAQ).
No. The Basic tier only includes access to a sandbox D365 F&O environment. There is plenty of free material out there and it would be unfair to charge you for it. If you want more guidance, you should have a look at Microsoft Learn or the TechTalk365 YouTube channel.
TIER TWO
STANDARD
The Standard tier is right for you if you have situational questions that can be answered by senior consultants. For example, you might want to know how to gather requirements effectively, or how to deal with a difficult stakeholders.
The Standard tier might not be suitable for you if you are looking for guidance on the software (e.g. how to raise a purchase order) or if you represent an organisation looking for advice on an F&O implementation. In the latter case we can assist as IT Fandango, but not via The Learning Hub. Reach out to our founder Marco on LinkedIn to discuss your needs as an organisation.
Anything related to being a D365 F&O Functional Consultant, but mainly situational questions. For example, subscribers in the past asked the following questions:
– How do I test a functionality when there is not enough time to do it?
– How do I get up to speed when I’m the newest consultant on an ongoing project?
– As a contractor, should I take on a second project?
– How do I uncover hidden requirements from end users?
– How should I deal with a stakeholder who turns down all my suggestions?
The Q&A session is reserved for you to get insight from senior professionals in the industry, so we encourage you not ask how-to questions about the software (e.g. how to raise a purchase order). There is plenty of free material out there for this.
The weekly Q&A sessions run every Wednesday at 5pm UK time and last 30 minutes. We are aware that the current slot is unsuitable for some of our subscribers, so the recordings are available for those who cannot attend. In the future, we may experiment with different time slots or a rotating day of the week, but we do not have a precise plan yet. We are a small team and we need to prioritise what to focus on. If you think this is important, reach out to us so we know it is a desired feature.
You can access the recordings of any session you miss. You can also access all previous Q&A sessions as long as you stay subscribed to the Standard tier or higher.

FOCUS CALL
The Focus call is right for you if:
1. You want Marco’s undivided attention,
2. You have questions you do not want to share with others, or
3. You have a particular professional blocker that you want to solve.
The Focus call might not be suitable for you if you represent an organisation looking for advice or consultancy services on a D365 F&O implementation. In this case, reach out to our founder Marco on LinkedIn to discuss your needs as an organisation.
Anything, as long as it is about your professional development. Focus calls are meant for individuals who are or want to become D365 F&O Functional Consultants. However, depending on your situation, we might touch other topics beyond D365 F&O and functional consultancy (e.g. other Microsoft software, life priorities).
No. The call is highly personal and the advice is tailored to your situation. Generally speaking, Marco will always ask you what you want to achieve, where you are now, and what your blockers are. Then he will provide the right advice based on your circumstances and answer any follow-up questions. The advice given then translates to a personalised report that you will receive after the call.
No. After the call, you will receive a personalised report with a summary of the topics discussed and actionable points to put the learning in practice. Of course, you can still take notes if you want to.
We record all our Focus calls to improve our services, but the recording is not shared with anyone. Your situation, the topics discussed, and the advice given during the call are private for you. Marco will review his notes and may review the recording to ensure you get the most effective advice. After the call, you will receive a personalised report, tailored to your situation. We encourage you not to record the call and focus on the report instead, which is distilled and focused advice.
